I want to tell you all about my best friend. For those of you who are into the God-thing, no, I'm not going to end my blog with 'and my best friends name is Jesus'. Please don't get me wrong. I consider God to be my greatest friend ever - closer than my best friend actually. And I will write lots of blogs about Him too. But today, I want to tell you about my best earthly friend and I hope that you are blessed to have a friend as great as mine.
The love that I have for my best friend grows everyday - and today it is overflowing into this blog. Hope you don't mine. God was so kind to give me the greatest person on earth as my best friend. My best friend accepts me as I am. They put up with my crap and moments when the ugly Amanda arises to the forefront. They do not push me away or slam the door in my face. My best friend always wecomes me in and always has a place for me. My best friend is teaching me alot of great lessons in life - like how to be myself and how to throw a baseball. Whenever something goes wrong, they tell me 'do not worry - it was in de the past' (no, my best friend isn't Raficki but we can learn a lot from him as well!), even if it is my second speeding ticket of the year. My best friend makes me feel safe and protects me from getting hurt. My best friend is honest and caring and concerned about me. My best friend tells me what is in their heart, stuff that they don't share with anybody else. My best friend is fun and makes me laugh like I have never laughted before. We like playing together, singing together, dancing together, sharing together, smiling together, talking together, eatting together, driving together...we are a perfect fit. There is no one else in the entire world who can compare to my best friend. Sometimes I wonder if I will wake up and realize that I created the most fantastic imaginary friend in the world - but it's real. It's so real. It's real enough that I am choosing to marry my best friend. Then we will be together forever - not just for a season as most best friends last. As we grow old, each and everyday will be learn more and more about each other - that makes me feel like that luckiest girl in the world.
