I like to think that my weekend is still existing if I think back on what I did and remember all of the fun times....it doesn't make Monday go away but it makes it a little happier! So....this past weekend...
1. It was my turn to plan date night - spent all day Friday coming up with something fun for us to do! My plan was to go to dinner...at McDonalds (only because it's Monopoly time!!)...then go skating at Olyimpic Oval...then out for dessert!
2. Got lost downtown after work on Friday - I didn't get anything accomplished as planned but I arrived a little early to pick Peter up from work...I was in a rotten mood because I had to drive downtown and I found out that Peter hurt his back at work...I figured that was the end of the plans that I had for skating...boy did I get grumpy!!
3. Peter said he was okay to go skating so we went anyways, despite my not wanting to anymore....however my planned date night was succesful after all....and the dessert from Boston Pizza sure was yummy!
4. On Saturday night we had youth group for the first time since before we went to Ont this summer. It is great to be able to get involved with the youth again - I really missed them while we were away, but now youth group is back in full force! We did pumpkin carving this week - the pumpkins turned out great and nobody lost a finger - another success!
5. On Sunday morning we brought our Pastor's kid to hockey practice before church started - he was only 6 so you can just imagine what it was like to watch 6 year olds out on the ice! I had such a great time and I hope that we get to do it again. I can't wait to go watch his games when they start in January - little kids like that make me laugh and smile so much! I felt like a hockey mom sitting there drinking my tea and trying to stay warm! He was so proud after the practice and talked the whole way in the car about how he felt that he was the fastest on the ice! Great times!
6. Sunday afternoon Peter and I decided to go look at show homes - I'm not sure why but it was a fun thing to do! We went into this one house that was worth $950, 000!! I almost fell on the floor when I heard the price! It was fun to pretend to be rich and walk through the homes with people who could actually afford to buy them....us in our neon and me in my sweatshirt and ponytail didn't really seem to make us fit in for some reason!! If I were ever able to afford a home like that I wouldn't buy one - I would definaly travel first and then buy a nice little home with lots of land...and maybe a horse!
That's about it! Unfortunatly, it's still Monday and I have a ton of work to do! Only 4 days until the weekend though and it all starts again!
