So this afternoon I get an e-mail from my little brother saying that his school had a bomb scare this morning! He was in school for 30 mins and the fire alarm went off and police were outside telling everyone to move to the street. They brought in a police dog and fire trucks while the kids stood on the side of the road. It's the high school in Pasadena, which really isn't a high school - the kids go there from grade 7 to 12. My brother is in grade 7 and it is his first year at the school so I can just imagine how scared he was!! He ended up getting the whole day off school! Lucky (Napoleon Dynamite impersonation) It's crazy what can happen when you leave the house for the day - I'm sure my mom didn't expect the school bus to be bringing him back home before recess! The town only has about 4000 people - you would think that nothing could ever happen like that because everyone knows your business. You can't always assume though I guess. At least it was just a scare and not an actual bomb itself!
