The holidays are offically over! I'm so ready for another one though....isn't that how it always is! We spent our last day off with friends over at Lake Midnapore yesturday. There was no snow and the temperature was warm but we somehow managed to skate on the lake! It was great getting some fresh air and watching kids skate for the first time! Peter had a lot of fun playing some 'pond hockey' with the boys! We are so blessed to have such a place near our house to go skating, toboggining, and even ice fishing in the winter! I want to use it as much as possible this year! That is my goal anyways!

I would like to make a very special prayer request, I don't usually do that one here, but I think that I am going to do it more often. If everyone could pray for my grandmother (my mom's mom) and my family that would be great. My grandmother was diagnosed with alzheimers disease over that last couple of years and now she is in the hospital and the doctors do not think that she will be allowed to go home anymore. My family drove 8 hours on the days before New Years Eve to spend the weekend with her. It was really hard on my mom as she thinks that this may have been the last time that she got to spend time with her. My grandma has forgotten how to feed herself and it is really hard on all of her children and her husband. Pray that this will be a time when my mom's sisters really see God and that they come to depend on Him. Pray for strenght for my mom as she cannot be with her mom during this time as they live so far apart. And pray for me as well as it is hard being away from family during a time like this. This past weekend a friend of mine lost her grandmother and this morning I found out that my co-worker lost her grandfather over the weekend as well. You never know what can happen from day to day.
