Yesturday was the start of Lent. I've never really paid much attention to it when I was growing up. I've been thinking about it lots this year and trying to figure out what exactly it means to me. What does Lent mean to you?? (Beware, I may use your knowledge in a blog that I have been asked to write!!)
Why has Amanda been so sick this winter?? Two weeks ago I got a terrible flu and I think that bits of it is still hanging around. One side of my throat and my ear have been aching all morning....Peter says that I should be collecting frequent flyer miles at the doctors office!! Time to go there again this afternoon.
I'm craving Kraft Dinner Spirals....and I don't think that I've ever had them before!! Peter may be in for a lovely surprise when he comes home for dinner! Kraft Dinner Spirals.....it's a step up from plain KD I guess?!

First of all, you might be pregnant if you are craving unexplainable things. It happens when you least expect it - trust me!
And about the Lent thing. To me it is a time of sacrifice. When we give up something that we value or crave the most, in order to focus more on God and His teachings. It is a way of telling God that we do not need these things as much as we need Him. In the past I have sacrificed things from caffeine to sugar. But it doesn't have to be food - it could be a emotional tie that you cannot otherwise seem to get rid of - like jealousy. God uses our moments of weakness to make us stronger - as long as we give our all to Him. That is my take on Lent!
Glad to know I'm not the only Lent newbie.

Hey Tammy and Amanda,
I was thinking the same thing, Amanda while you are at the Dr's office get him to do a pregnancy test, that could also explain why you have been sick so frequenty. But than again I was sick alot, and was getting nauxious with the smell of food cooking and I wasn't pregnant (unless it was a macalent conception, man I need to learn to spell).
Amanda, you have had KD spirals before, I used to make them for you. Every now and than I would spend the extra money to buy them and we would eat them at one of our KD party's on 7th Floor. Silly girl, what a bad memory you have, also a sing of pregnancy and stress. Think about it, you could get a year away from your co-worker lol. I know you want to shoot me, but oh well.
Love always Corrina
isn't it weird how you can have a craving not just for a food, but for a particular texture and shape of that food? like, meatballs instead of meatloaf (i make them from the same stuff) or spirals instead of the regular macaroni.
i think taste is weird. hence, cool. God's creativity blows me away. :D
This is very interesting site...
