A lot has happened over the last couple of days...I guess it's about time that I told you all about it!!
Last weekend we got news from the car doctor that our car was dying of a not so slow death....they were quite surprised that we were still driving it. The test results that they gave back to us showed that we would owe them a lot of money to get him fixed.....a lot more money than the car was actually worth. So we didn't get him fixed....we decided that his days with us were over and we went in search of a new-to-us car. And tonight is the big night of the trade in. I give in my Neon who I've driven for 100,000 kms in 4 years and we are brining home a 2003 Ford Focus!! God has provided for us in so many ways to make this happen - I was given a bonus at work, Peter traded in some bonds and it all worked out just nicely. I'm glad that God does things so that there is no need to worry!! (not saying that I don't worry....I'm just glad that He works things out just perfectly!)
In other news, my crazy coworker quit. Her last day is Tuesday. After a long mediation meeting that I had to have with her she said that there is no way that she thinks she can adjust her behaviour to be in our work environment...so she is leaving!! Happy day for Amanda! However, last night it kinda struck me as sad - despite how upset and frustrated she made me, I am still going to miss her....I know that sounds shockingly strange....I don't know why I feel that way but I do. I wrote her a long letter in a card and told her more about the church I attend and that a lot of people have been praying for her.....wouldn't it be so God like if she showed up to church one Sunday?!!
On Tuesday I held a little surprise birthday party for my husband, it went really well and I was glad that I was able to do that for him. We had a ton of food that we have been eatting all week!
That's about it!
