I've been posting mostly pictures over the last few weeks - I think that pictures capture more of my summer than I could have time to descirbe in words!! It's been very busy but very enjoyable so far. We have every weekend planned out until September which is really crazy!! This weekend coming up is the Third Day concert on Sunday evening which I have been waiting months to go see! This will be my 3rd time go to a Third Day concert and I am super pumped! Chris Tomlin is also going to be there which is a great treat as well! AND, we are spending the day at the stampede where I get to eat more mini donuts and fudge!!

Last night we were at the Chuckwagon races and the Grandstand show! Calgary Stampede really is the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth...they did a spectacular job and I was blown away by the fireworks display that they did. I am hoping that my family will come up to see the stampede next summer!! Only one horse had to be put down because of injury during one of the races - it was very lucky that all of the other horses and the driver were okay...they had quite the accident. The show went until midnight and we got home around 1am so I'm feeling pretty out of it this morning! This morning however we heard that there was a stabbing at the train station that we were at last night - good thing we left when we did!

I've been really missing my dad these last few weeks for some reason - I think it is because of all the stampede fun that I have been having. When I was growing up, me and my dad would always watch horse racing and rodeo's on television and he always talks about coming to see the Calgary Stampede one day. I feel really blessed to be living in a place where I can participate in so many events but I really wish he were here to see them as well. He had horses growing up and I believe that he really is a cowboy at heart! Love you dad!
