Anniversary Weekend was wonderful! I'm sure you are eagerly awaiting to hear what was in the secret package and where we went to celebrate together....let me back track and fill you in!.....

Friday morning I picked up the secret package from Co-op and had to work my way through the work day until 4pm when I picked Peter up from his work. When I arrived at his place of employment, he asked me to back the car in so that he could put our bikes on the back of our car. My first thought was, 'how in the world did he get both of our bikes to work?' Pretty sneaky that boy is! Then, off we drove, heading west, I was quite anxious to know where we would be ending up.....

This is me not having a clue!

We drove for about 2.5 hours and ended up at Panorama Mountain Village! It was so beautiful there. There were little hotels and cottages right in the mountains with little shops and hiking trails and bike trails and swimming pools. On Friday night we basically just walked around the village and planning what we would do the next day.

On Saturday we had a breakfast buffet (my favorite!) at the golf course (Peter's favorite) and then went on the gondola ride to the top of the mountain. After coming down, we played a round of mini golf (where I got a hole in one! And Peter got 2 hole in ones!)

Then it was time for lunch followed by a litle nap in the hotel and a bike ride. For supper we ate outside of the heli-ski resturant and took in the view of the village:

Of course we had to spend the evening in the hot tub and just relaxing before I got to see what was in the special box!!

Yes, that's right.....in the box was the top layer of our wedding cake!!! At the wedding our entire cake got eatten and I was very dissapointed that we didn't have a piece to save for our one year anniversary (yes, I like those little traditions). So, my very sweet and thoughtful husband brought a picture of our wedding cake to our local co-op and had one layer of the cake reconstructed. When I opened the box I cried so much, considering myself the luckiest girl in the world!

That wasn't the end....there were presents as well! Peter always hears me talking about how much I would love to know how to paint....so for our 'paper' Anniversary (another tradition) he got me a book to learn how to oil paint alone with some canvas and oil paints to get me started! He's so sweet!! I was quite surprised!!

Anyhoo....I'm sure there are more stories to share and more pictures to post but I think I've used up enough space right now! More to come later!

Jackie, this one took a while for me to find, but I'm sure there are lots more out there for you!! It took a lot of patience on my part but it was well worth it!!

Peter recieved a pair of football tickets from a very nice couple from our church - he was thrilled! I also gave him a pass to see a movie and a certificate to get the tatoo that he has always wanted (don't tell my mother-in-law!).

That's so sweet. That Peter is a romantic one! We didn't have a wedding cake...hmmm...I just thought of that right now. Perhaps I will make one for our anniversary this year. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea...thanks Peter!
