"Calgary police are blaming the weather and icy road conditions for a collision involving dozens of vehicles on the Calf Robe Bridge Monday. Between 60 and 80 vehicles were involved in a "chain reaction" smash-up just after 11 p.m, police said. No one was killed."
This is the usual story in Calgary when it starts to get a little snowy. Not sure why people don't know how to drive more carefully. This morning I wasn't able to leave my community because of all of the accidents. After 15 mins I gave up, went home, watched the traffic reports and then ventured out again....arriving to work only 1.5 hours late! Too much!
I now have Wednesday nights free which may mean that I can help out with the Christmas play. My parenting group that was scheduled for Wednesdays got cancelled. I was very dissappointed to hear that because I was looking forward to it, but I'm also happy about helping out with the play!!
We had a fun weekend. On Friday night I got to sing in the worship team at Quench which made me very excited!! I had forgotten about how much I enjoy doing that...and we had so many kids out from our church which also made me very excited!! On Saturday we relaxed, played some frisbbe, watched some hockey (well, I actually slept on the couch while Peter watched hockey!). Sunday was a great day as well. I had 11 kids in Sunday School and then in the afternoon we got to hang out with our 3 favorite Wiseman kids - watching movies, playing games, coloring...but the most fun was eatting lunch with them! Their conversations are so crazy and apparently they think that Peter and I must be so lonely because we don't have kids!! Oh, and another fun part was when Peter was reading the youngest a book and the other two cuddled up beside him as well....too cute!! They were kinda surprised that we owned kids books and toys but that we didn't own any kids!
