It's sooo cold outside!!! Brrrrr!!!
It really makes me feel special when the youth that we work with and hang out with refer to us as their friends rather than as their leaders. This past weekend we were actually referred to as a second mom and dad. I like that. I'm glad that youth are comfortable to talk with us and to come to our house and talk off their socks and help themselves to our fridge just as they would do as if they were at home. I'm glad that we can be around to offer that to them.
The youth and children of our church are so very special to us....I'm not sure what I'm going to do when we leave.....oh yeah, for those of you who don't know....we are preparing to head East again next September...I can't believe I've forgotten to blog about that! I just assumed that everyone knew! Since June of this year, Peter and I have been in the process of applying for Training College in Winnipeg (aka. Pastors college with the Salvation Army). If all goes well, we will be going there in Sept 07. So yes, I've already started to think about leaving the children who I've been so attached to. One of the little red head girls said to me a few weeks ago, 'you can't leave'. I replied, ' well, it's not for a very long time. I'll still be here with you for a long time yet'. Her response was , 'well, you still can't leave.' She looked right up and me and then said 'I'm going to miss you'. At that, I shed a little tear...okay, maybe a few tears! I'm going to be such a mess when next fall rolls around!! I'm going to miss the three Wisemans the most, oh and the twins, and of course my little sister in law, and Allison.....oh my...I think I'm already a mess just thinking about it!

Guess who's jumping up and down? PARTY AT THE REZ!!!!JACKIE IS COMING....OHHHHHHH I GET TO MEET PETER!....oh wait, will you invite me to a party that if you be hosting one in your res? you can come to my place for dinner one day.....ohhhhhh those cadets study a lot.....I hope you can still have fun....cause guess who is here.....ok well I'm not that fun and I actually don't go out that much so don't get scared. I just hope I can see you once in a while.

Jackie: I'm so excited that you are excited!!! You bet there will be parties and we will definalty invite you...we can even hang out at Dairy Queen like old times!!! I can't believe I didn't tell you this before now....I'm happy that there will be some familiar faces still around the 'peg'!
oh, i wanna do our 2nd year in Canada! they are renovating here, so maybe since there will be no room, we will have to go up to Winnipeg! :)
