It is so strange to me how so many people, people I don't even know, read this online blog of mine. It always amazes me when I get a comment from someone on the other side of the world saying that they read what I write. It's good though, although I should probably write something more deep, perhaps one day something deep and profound may surface!
There are lots of new Cadets here at the training college this year, it has been really good getting to know all of them and their families. Life has been busy - trying to back into the routine of homework and more homework. This year Peter and I are at a new Corps - Heritage Park Temple. We are very happy about all of the new ministry opportunities that are available to us there. We will be working a lot with their youth - which is something that I have missed doing over the last year. We had our first youth group event on Saturday and there were 34 youth there! That's like a small church congregation! At first I was overwhelmed, because I am only used to smaller youth groups, but I am looking forward to meeting every one of them and getting to know them. It's difficult knowing that we are going to work so hard at building relationships and then have to move again next year...but I guess that comes with Officership. Being with the youth made me miss all of my South Meadows youth - Alison, Courtney, Liz, Lauren, Kelsie.....you guys will never be forgotten by us!! Miss you all! Perhaps you can all take a weekend trip and come to our commissioning in Toronto in June 09!!

Good to read your account of returning to College. Brings back memories of our own training days, when we went in as 1st. Years, then returning as the "Senior Session" after out-training. can't believe it was 30 & 29 years ago respectively. And now we are mainly retired, P.T.G., or resigned! God bless you, & also the remaining (serving, retired & resigned) UK Proclaimers of Salvation! Especially Bo Brekke's family - a year ago on 27/9 that he was killed.
Former, UKT.
