Three out of four semesters almost complete! Not that I'm counting though. I am really enjoying my CFOT experiance but it is flying by way too fast!! This semester I only have 2 papers and 1 exam left to do! One week from today we say good bye to fellow Cadets who are leaving Winnipeg for Winter Assignment and Peter and I begin our two weeks of Christmas ministry at Heritage Park Temple! We cannot believe that when we come back in January we will be in our last semester!
We have been very blessed to have been granted the ability to travel to Newfoundland on Christmas Eve to be with my family at Christmas time. This came as a surprise, one that I am very thankful for. Last year we went to Calgary for Christmas, as it was closest to where we were for Winter Assignment and said that this year we would make it to Newfoundland - and we are! It is very important for me to be with my family this Christmas as I do not know when we will have the opportunity to do it again. Who knows where we will be living next year this time!! This Christmas it will different because Andrew and Pam are staying in Alberta but at least I get to be there to help my family deal with that!! I hope for snow so that we can go snowmobiling with David and take him out skating! It is also going to be very special because one of my good friends that I left behind in Calgary will be in Pasadena as well visiting with her family so I get to see her again!!! AND my cousin will be there too....both of my bridesmaids will be with me in my home town - very exciting times for me!
Peter and I have been busy doing lots of fun ministry projects this semester at Heritage Park Temple as a part of our field experiance (that is my excuse for the lack of blogging!). We planned and put on a Talent Show and Dessert Auction that raised over $2000 for our upcoming Winter Weekend for the youth!!! We are super excited about this weekend that is coming up in February - we have been putting a lot of work into it and praying hard that God is going to work in the lives of the young people that weekend. We have a really great worship team coming. We went to their worship team practice a few weeks ago and I could have stayed there all night listening to them!! it has been a long time since I've sat and listened to such a great band with such great songs!! Made me miss Tehillah Mondays back in Calgary!! Does anyone still go to that?!! I'll have to come back some evening to attend!!
Anyways...that's all for now....just wanted you all to know that I'm still here. If I don't surface in blog land until after Chrismas I want you all to know that I love you and I wish you a very merry Christmas!!! Enjoy the holidays and celebrate the meaning of the season!!!
