Today is the first activity for Stampede which is only 2 weeks away! Our church community is helping out with a Stampede pancake breakfast at the community center where we have church. I am just trying to get up some energy to venture out on my bike to get me there....may take me awhile!! The hills intimidate me a little!! Peter left early this morning to go golfing with his bro for the morning. The weather is beautiful so that will make both of our morning quite enjoyable I'm sure.
This evening Peter and I have tickets to go see our favorite little girl perform in her ballet concert....I'm looking forward to seeing her all dressed up on stage!!
Softball got rained out again this past week. The funniest story was that Peter managed to contact everyone on the team prior to them leaving for the ball diamond, except for one guy from our church who ended up showing up there with his 2 year old twins. (That isn't the funny part). The twins were looking forward to seeing Peter the whole day and as they were driving there they were apparently chanting Petee! Petee!! When they got there and discovered no one else was there - the twins were quite upset. The dad said that he couldn't even get them out of the car and back into the house because they were crying so hard that they wanted to see Petee! When Peter was talking on the phone to the dad, Peter could hear them tantruming in the backgroud, still screaming his name! I thought that was the cutiest thing....okay, maybe not the funniest thing, but I thought it was a story worth telling!! Those are 2 more of our favorite children - especially now that they are learning to talk more!!
