Happy Thanksgiving long weekend!!

I was just on my way to get ready for an exciting adventure to A Maze in Corn....but because of the rain we are now spending an evening at home, so I thought I would come and post something for this Thanksgiving weekend!

First I would like to say congrats to my hubby who is now the vice president of the cadet council! He doesn't like to be acknowledged for stuff like that - but I am very proud of him and I know that he is going to do a great job!

Tomorrow I am going to be cooking my second turkey! The first time I did it I had the help of my brother and his girlfriend...and now tomorrow I'm on my own...with Peter of course! Should be fun times! The turkey is for a social-pot-luck gathering that we are having in our home on Monday following the first annual turkey bowl here at CFOT Winnipeg. Yes, for those of you who come from Calgary, Peter is carrying on the South Meadows tradition out here now! We hope that you guys are still going to do it out there too!! We can compare stories!

On Sunday we are going to be preparing and serving a turkey dinner for the homeless in downtown Winnipeg. I haven't done that before so it should be a great experiance.

Anyhoo....Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. I am very thankful to all of my friends and family - thanks for absolulty everything!!
