So we survived another day! And another hot day at that! This morning we were without power for the entire morning, meaning we were without a fan....it was very very warm. This evening we went out to Bible Study at Daniel and Valerie's house. It was in Russian but one of the Officer's interpreted for us. At the end, we all had fellowship and Coke! The young people were asking us about our hobbies and about where we live. Some of them know a little bit of English but we use a lot of charades to help us communicate.

Today we learned about the Ukranian dollar and salary. The people here make about $250 Canadian a month which equals 1200 Ukrainian dollars. We find the groceries to be very cheap but they find things very expensive. For example, a small bottle of jam is 25 Ukrainian dollars and a pizza is 21 Ukrainain dollars. If you make only 1200 a month that can be very costly.

Anyways...that's the update for today! It is midnight right now so it's time for bed! We only have internet for a few hours in the evening so we take advantage of that when we can.
