Definatly a busy weekend - but overall a good one...once again there were many highlights that I want to share!!
-Saturday evening was the ZIM fundraiser dinner and auction. ZIM is the 'Zeal in Mission' trip that goes to Zambia every year, this year there are 4 people from our church attending. I was there in 2004 and I can't wait to return!! I found out during the dinner that one of the ladies who was on my team in 2004 from Zimbabwe actually passed away in the fall. That was quite surprising and very sad. She taught me many things in my 3 weeks with her and she was one of the most cheerful human beings that I have ever met. Her and her husband were officers down there and you could see the love of God in every word that they spoke. She will definalty be a lady who is forever remembered.
-During the auction I wasn't able to bid high enough to get the african paintings that I really wanted, but...I did however walk away winning a chocolate cheesecake for $40!!! It was quite tasty and I woke up on Sunday morning with a cheesecake hangover! Peter and I also each won a door prize - we each got a golf putter! Peter was content with that!
-Yesturday was church, pot luck and then swimming with our pastors children for the afternoon - we had a blast!!! We spent two hours at the wave pool with them, catching them as they went down the waterslides, jumping over the waves, playing 'what time is it mister shark', playing mommy titty (kitty) and baby titty (kitty), relaxing in the hot tub, and then back to our house to watch Lilo and Stitch. Peter and I adore those children but after brining them home we are totally exhausted! I couldn't even stay awake last night to watch the end of Extreme Makeover Home edition!!

Golf putters! Do you play Amanda?
The cheesecake looked great. How kind to pay $40 and then bring it on Sunday for the church to eat!!
Too bad about the pictures, but hope you are enjoying the African centrepiece ;)
By the time I was able to bid on anything, I couldn't afford to! It well I think!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for taking our kids yesterday. They (we) love you guys and are so blessed to have you!
oh no...no golf for me Leslie!! I played my first and last game in Victoria with Peter and his family last Christmas...I couldn't hit the ball!!!
If I had kept the Cheesecake I would have gained 15 pounds because I would have eatten it all myself within hours!!!
